2 Weeks until vacation
I am looking forward to having 5 days off in a row, I really need the break.
Hopefully I will have several different food items to use when I come in on Saturday.
Still need to save a lot of money so I can replace my iMac, but real life keeps interfering.

Continuing sucky
Work continues to be fairly busy, never knowing what I will have to do day to day.
Right now I am back doing buffet 5 days a week since our morning team has either quit or will be gone in a week and a half. Need to get some more people hired and trained.
I still have to do a lot of the prep work like making soups, pastas, chili and spaghetti sauce for the line. Not to mention the steaks, sandwich meats and chicken fried steaks.
I am taking a vacation next month to go to Highlands War again.

Update
Life has been fairly sucky recently.
WIth the change to having 2 in the morning and 2 at night I have ended up doing even more work that before as we do not have enough people who can handle the duties.
Hopefully soon I will get back to mornings only and a better work flow.

The Car
I have my car and can drive it, but it still has a few problems.
Luckily it never was the head gasket, it ended up being the upper intake manifold and shitty seals.
Now I just have to figure out what other vacuum lines are weak and get them replaced and hope that also fixes the non-automatically downshifting transmission.

Blew the head gasket
Looks like there were more problems than I though, it blew the head gasket and now it is a $1200 repair.

More car problems
My car was starting to overheat, going up to 230 degrees and then dropping down to 185.
Turns out that is never was going up that high, the temp sending unit was sending bad signals to the computer.
I still need to replace that last tire and then I will finally be on new tread all the way around.

New graphics card
I finally joined the CUDA world.
I bought a Nvidia GTX 460 to replace the ATI HD4830 that was in my XP machine.
I had to run down all the tasks that were in the machine, then switch out the cards since they are from different companies and use different drivers.
Now I get to see if my SETI RAC will go up at least a little bit.

Quick update
I am back to working 5 days a week and getting close to 40 hours as well.
I have managed to get the swamp cooler to work fairly well now and it keeps it about 18 degrees cooler than the outside air.
I just ordered a wool cloak so I will be able to keep warm during winter SCA activities.

New Window A/C unit
I tried to run with my 5000 BTU unit in the bedroom window, but it had 2 problems.
1: It blew the cold air at the ceiling
2: It could not keep up with this no insulation and 100+ temp days.
I now am running a 6300 BTU window unit and it is doing a much better job.
Still gets up to 83 in the bedroom, but I can live with that.
The swamp cooler is just plain laboring and I think I will still have to get some new pads for it and some cleaning solution.

No more lines
I now have the 22” Dell monitor hooked up to the iMac and don’t have to see those lovely colored lines while watching movies and TV shows.
I still want to upgrade to something newer eventually, but I do not have to be in that much of a hurry now..
Of course I still have to be able to see the iMac as that is where the DVD drive is.
